I know I have posted this many times, but with everyone doing a lot of shopping I need to say it again.

Do not order anything from any site (except Amazon) before you do a google search (or whatever search engine you use) for coupon codes for that store.

I was just ordering something online. I googled "Store name coupon codes" and found one that gave me free shipping on my order so I saved $6.50.

Lots of time you can find 15% or 20% off codes or free shipping. It takes 30 seconds to do but can really add up on savings.

That is my PSA for the day.

I ordered ours last night online and paid 23 cents a card and I don't have to pay for shipping as I sent them to my local Sam's Club. Additionally, they also have 2 hour service, so if you are behind on getting your cards done (like myself) it can really help you get them out on time. I would have paid $90+ on Shutterfly to do a similar card.

An apology for being MIA

Last night a friend called and the first thing she said is "Are you guys okay? Is everyone sick?" and when I responded no- she called "Come on then Little Miss Moffett- where are the Bargains!!!!"

Crazy week last week with lots of family in, and pretty much three straight days of family time. Not much computer time and to be honest, the blog hasn't been bringing in enough money to justify taking time away from seeing people I only get to see once or twice a year.

Plus, the sales were everywhere- you didn't need me on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I am sure you were like me- inundated with flyers and emails- everywhere you looked.

Hope your Black Friday was good. I actually took it easy. First time in years I was waiting in line on a cold, dark morning trying to get in somewhere. Prime gives you free two day shipping. Start it today and you will get free 2 day shipping until Dec 23rd- perfect for Christmas shopping. You just have to remember to go into your account and cancel the automatic upgrade or at the end of the month it will automatically charge your CC $80 for a year of Prime. There are details at the bottom as to how to make sure this doesn't happen.

Here are the ways you can possibly get it:

Method A:
1. Sign *out* of your Amazon account.
2. Click here to start the free trial sign-up process (it will mention either a 1 or 3 month trial, whatever it mentions is what you will get if you sign up).
4. You'll have to sign in again in the process
3. Follow the instructions, give CC number and billing address, etc.
5. In the end there should be a very explicit button "start my free trial"

Method B:

Method C:
Use a new email (and perhaps a new card) to create a new amazon account (address and phone matching should be fine), and then you should be able to get trial. Gmail is a good email to use, you can set it to forward to your main email account.

To stop automatic upgrade and charge of $79 after free trial:
Make sure to revisit the same link after getting the trial, so you can turn off the automatic upgrade (else you will get charged $80 after 1 or 3 months).

I just made $60 for nothing. A few weeks ago I told you about the Coinstar deal where you change $40 worth of coins into a $40 gift card and then they will send you an additional $10 gift card when you submit the form that prints out at the end of your receipt.
